Become the Vortex Breaker!

Vortex Breakers is a love letter to classic arcade space shooters.   Each level takes you through multiple phases, each an homage to a different retro game.  But Vortex Breakers is no simple remake.  You control a ship with two different modes that can be switched between at will; one defensive, one offensive, but each with different stats, weapons, and special abilities to help you win the day.

Vortex Breakers also features a unique take on space shooters that flips the genre on its head.  Instead of desperately dodging enemy fire in "bullet hell," you have to purposefully block the bullets with your ship, absorbing enemy fire to fuel your special moves and protect the Vortex Breaker crystal- the only thing that can save the galaxy from the invasion from beyond.
