Vortex Breakers- Dev Log 9



Set up the graphics to give the system the aesthetics I've been planning. The materials/textures are just simple glowing emissives, but in a void, they would just appear as a colored dot. The glowing effect is created by putting a flat background object just under the plane the objects are moving along. This allows the emissive material's glow to appear by giving them something to "bounce" off of. Interestingly, the shape and style of that glow is changed radically by what material/texture the backdrop is made out of. After trying out dozens of built in material textures, I settled on "Sandstone" as my backdrop. So if this room was properly lit, you would see these orbs moving in front of a giant slab of sandstone.
